Racism In Healthcare Systems
Even healthcare is not free from discrimination!

Medical care should not be based on Race

The healthcare system was built to help take care of people in general not to discriminate against them based on their looks or nationality. There should be no reason why people of color go to hospitals or healthcare centers for treatments but instead, they don’t get the right attention/treatment that they need to be cured or survive.

Black lives (especially Black Mothers) and other Racialized groups such as Hispanics, etc.. are usually affected by this issue that is within the healthcare system.

Studies show that

Due to residential segregation, majority African-American and Hispanic areas are more likely to lack hospitals and other health care providers. Black neighborhoods are 67% more likely to lack a local primary care physician.

ABOUT

My name is Ayomide, and I was inspired to create this website to discuss the inequality that has been installed in the healthcare system. I believe that everyone should be informed about racial injustice not just being in our community, but also our healthcare system.
